Sr. Staff Integration Engineer (Security Platform and Data Pipelines)
Role
We are looking for a Sr. Staff Integration Engineer (Security Platform and Data Pipelines) to join our Technical Implementation and Integration team. This is a remote role based in India, reporting to the Director, Software Development Engineering.
You will be responsible for connecting and onboarding diverse cybersecurity data sources, mapping and normalizing security data to power exposure and threat management use cases, and customizing workflows to deliver measurable outcomes. This role requires technical depth, comfort with complex datasets, and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll do (Role Expectations)
- Quickly get up-to-speed on Zscaler's SecOps platform, utilizing Python and APIs to configure, customize, and automate data transformations and workflows
- Partner with cybersecurity subject matter experts (SMEs) to onboard new data pipelines and map diverse IT and security sources to fulfill specific customer use cases
- Proactively troubleshoot pipeline health and audit customer data across environments to identify quality issues, flag security gaps, and define clear remediation steps
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Services teams to translate customer needs into actionable implementation and integration plans
- Communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders and feed valuable, field-based insights back to Engineering to drive continuous product improvements
Who You Are (Success Profile)
- You thrive in ambiguity. You're comfortable building the path as you walk it. You thrive in a dynamic environment, seeing ambiguity not as a hindrance, but as the raw material to build something meaningful
- You act like an owner. Your passion for the mission fuels your bias for action. You operate with integrity because you genuinely care about the outcome. True ownership involves leveraging dynamic range: the ability to navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution
- You are a problem-solver. You love running towards the challenges because you are laser-focused on finding the solution, knowing that solving the hard problems delivers the biggest impact
- You are a high-trust collaborator. You are ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You embrace our challenge culture by giving and receiving ongoing feedback-knowing that candor delivered with clarity and respect is the truest form of teamwork and the fastest way to earn trust
- You are a learner. You have a true growth mindset and are obsessed with your own development, actively seeking feedback to become a better partner and a stronger teammate. You love what you do and you do it with purpose
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Hands-on experience managing the complete data pipeline lifecycle, including ingestion, mapping, deduplication, normalization, merging, and unification
- Specialized experience working with data pipelines within cybersecurity platforms (e.g., SIEM, Unified Vulnerability Management) alongside a broad understanding of vulnerability, exposure, and threat management
- Proven ability to integrate diverse security tools and data sources, such as EDR, vulnerability scanners, CNAPP/CSPM, ticketing systems/CMDB, identity providers, and cloud logs
- Strong proficiency in data modeling and SQL, with the analytical skills required to investigate and troubleshoot complex data issues from end to end
- Experience working in Python to handle data parsing, execute transformations, interact with APIs, and build automation scripts
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a high level of attention to detail
- Direct experience working with data transformation pipelines
