Black Duck is looking for a Devops/Release Engineer. As a member of the release engineering team, you will have an opportunity to develop tools to automateprocess, develop re-usable libraries and build and release pipelines that use them. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator and a quality focussed innovator. You need to be willing to experiment and to learn quickly so we can leverage new technology as it becomes available.
Responsibilities of this Role:
- Jenkins (job creation, job disable, job enable, plugin management, views, folders) git (branching, committing, pulling, merging).
- Maintain and Deploy Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Pipelines using GitLab CI, docker and python libraries, using Jenkins Pipelines with Groovy Libraries.
- Maintain, Evolve and Create Automation Infrastructure Identify processes that can be automated and create tools or scripts.
- Maintain existing automated processes and improve them.
- Provide consistent and reliable build environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Must have 5 to 10 Years of experience.
- Linux, windows, mac, Cygwin (basic usage allowing for differentiation).
- Build Pipelines with CI/CD automation in Jenkins, Gitlab, Github, Concourse.
- Python programming and package creation OOP design and implementation.
- Docker image creation, tagging and releases Git and Gitlab CI.
- Gradle, Maven, NodeJS, Ant, make bash + shell scripting security mindfulness about credentials management.
Preferred Experience:
- C/C++ dynamic linking on Cygwin, windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX.
- Document Build Requirements, pre-requisites and dependencies (reverse engineer).
- Re-Architect Build processes for efficiency of process improvement.
- Develop product expertise.
- Optimize the development process.
- Investigate build failures in collaboration with developers.
- Need to be able to interrogate hung processes on multiple Operating Systems (google or AI help is ok).
- Linux System Administration and VM-Management via OpenStack.
