Senior QA Engineer - Platform Experience

Join the Platform Experience team, a core group within our GPTO Engineering organization, where you will report to the Director of Engineering. Our team is on a mission to provide the unshakeable foundation of trust, security, and scale for the entire Anaplan ecosystem. We empower our internal developers and external partners to build with speed and confidence.

Your Impact

• Contribute significantly to the quality assurance of our Platform Experience, playing a vital role across Product Security, Platform Management, and Data Integration initiatives.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test cases and automated tests for highly available, secure, and scalable platform services that form the backbone of our ecosystem.

• Champion quality assurance excellence through high-quality test design, hands-on automation, collaborative test reviews, and mentorship of junior QA engineers on our backend technology stack (Java, Kotlin, Go, .NET).

• Actively participate in technical planning, contribute to our team's quality strategy, and engage in critical incident retrospectives to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineering groups, to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable platform solutions.

Your Qualifications

• A skilled QA Engineer with 8+ years of experience testing and assuring the quality of complex platform, infrastructure, or data-centric systems.

• Strong, hands-on expertise in designing and developing automated tests for modern back-end applications (Java, Kotlin, Go, .NET) and distributed systems using RESTful APIs and event-driven patterns.

• Demonstrated experience with Service Oriented Architecture and a solid understanding of cloud-native principles from a quality perspective.

• A proven track record of writing clean, scalable, and well-maintained test automation code.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with private and public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

• Proven ability to influence your team's technical quality decisions and lead testing projects to completion.

• A passion for mentoring other engineers and elevating the team's quality capabilities.

• Experience with CI/CD best practices, integrating automated tests, and infrastructure-as-code tools (like Terraform) for test environments.
