About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Coupa Administrator to take ownership and provide strategic leadership for our Coupa ecosystem. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who is passionate about building a world-class Procure-to-Pay function. You will be the organization's foremost expert on Coupa, accountable for its performance, roadmap, and adoption.
A key part of your mission will be to act as a strategic and influential partner to the Procurement department, guiding them on best practices and shaping how the platform is run to maximize efficiency and value. You will also serve as the technical lead and mentor for our other team members who assist with Coupa operations, helping to elevate their skills and ensure operational excellence.
- The role requires to work in the US shift to support US stakeholders (The latest end time for the shift will be around mid-night IST).
Key Responsibilities
- Assume primary ownership of the Coupa platform, serving as the lead strategist responsible for its day-to-day stability and long-term strategic improvements.
- Architect and implement end-to-end P2P solutions, driving the adoption of new features and managing platform release cycles.
- Influence and guide the Procurement team on process optimization, ensuring the platform's configuration and usage align with strategic business goals.
- Guide, mentor, and upskill team members
- Serve as the escalation point for the most complex technical issues, including integration troubleshooting and advanced configuration challenges.
- Maintain and optimize all core Coupa configurations (e.g., business rules, approval chains, chart of accounts, suppliers).
- Proactively monitor and enforce data quality standards across supplier data, catalogs, and accounting structures.
- Perform basic ad-hoc operational tasks in Workday Financials as needed to assist the wider finance team.
- Create and own all documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in a Coupa-focused role with a clear progression towards platform ownership and strategy.
- Deep, expert-level knowledge of Coupa modules, including Procure-to-Order (P2O), and their underlying architecture.
- Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders and business partners, particularly within Procurement functions.
- Strong understanding of system configuration, business rules, complex approval workflows, user roles, and integration points.
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and lead through influence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience with Coupa integrations, particularly with ERP systems like Workday Financials.
- Configuration experience on Workday Financials
- Experience in change management, process documentation, or developing internal training programs.
- Coupa certifications (e.g., Coupa Admin, Coupa Certified Professional, Solutions Architect) are a strong plus.
