About the Role
Client is seeking talented and motivated Cloud Engineers to join our growing cloud engineering team. We are hiring 7 engineers across two teams who will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies on AWS and Azure platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals who are eager to develop their skills in cloud infrastructure and automation.
You will report to one of our three experienced team leads, working in a collaborative environment where learning and innovation are encouraged. Our teams are growing strategically - one team will consist of 5 engineers while the other will have 6 engineers, ensuring you'll have peers to collaborate with while maintaining an agile team structure.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure solutions using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
Technology Integration: Investigate and integrate identity management, storage solutions, container platforms, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies
Cloud Platform Management: Work with AWS and Azure services to build, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure
Collaboration: Partner with team leads and fellow engineers to deliver reliable and efficient cloud solutions
Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices while building expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native services
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Experience
0-2 years of experience in cloud engineering, IT infrastructure, or related technical roles
Demonstrated interest in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) through coursework, personal projects, or professional experience
Technical Skills & Mindset
Eagerness to learn Terraform, Ansible, and various AWS and Azure services
Understanding of basic networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and system administration concepts
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with any of the following: AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC), Azure services (Virtual Machines, Storage, Active Directory/Entra)
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Exposure to programming and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell)
Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) are a plus
