Job Purpose: Senior Executive - Structural Design (P&D) is responsible for assisting in structural design development and supporting seniors to ensure successful completion of design components for airport projects. This role involves creating detailed structural designs, conducting site analyses, and coordinating with stakeholders to facilitate project execution. Structural Design Associate applies technical skills to contribute to the effective and timely completion of design projects, ensuring that all work aligns with project objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in structural design, preferably with exposure in airport development projects.

Engineer (CEng)/LEED Accreditation/Project Management Certification could be some preferred certifications

Structural Design Development:

Assist in developing and refining structural design concepts for airport infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, building codes, and aviation regulations.

Support the creation of detailed structural drawings and specifications, and contribute to design reviews to ensure accuracy and feasibility.

Stay updated with the multidisciplinary (architectural, MEPF, Facade etc.) knowledge, codal requirements, along with knowledge on latest amendments in codes.

Site Inspections and Construction Support:

Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify that work aligns with design specifications, and document any site-related issues or discrepancies for discussion with seniors.

Provide on-site support and clarification to construction teams to ensure proper implementation of structural designs.

Facilitate Coordination with Stakeholders:

Act as a point of contact between the design team and other project stakeholders to address design-related queries and provide updates. Organize and facilitate meetings to communicate design progress and gather feedback.

Coordinate with external consultants, internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth integration and execution of structural designs.

Budget Monitoring:

Monitor project expenditures on an ongoing basis, documenting and reporting any deviations from the approved budget.

Conduct analyses of budget variances, identifying reasons for discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.

Project Documentation and Compliance:

Prepare and review documentation required for regulatory approvals and construction, including structural calculations, design reports, and compliance checklists.

Ensure that all structural designs and construction activities adhere to relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

Risk Assessment and Management:

Assist in identifying potential risks related to structural design and construction processes, including safety, environmental impacts, and operational disruptions.

Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies to address and manage identified risks effectively.

Feasibility Study and Analysis:

Participate in feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of structural design proposals, focusing on technical specifications, cost implications, and potential risks.

Analyze study results and assist in refining design plans to ensure they are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with airport development goals.
