NAS Migrations Expert (Level 3)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled NAS Migrations Expert with deep expertise in Atempo Miria Software (Level 4) to lead complex data migration projects across enterprise storage environments. This role requires advanced technical proficiency, strategic planning, and hands-on execution to ensure seamless migration of large-scale NAS infrastructures with zero disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Migration Planning & Strategy

· Design and implement end-to-end NAS migration strategies using Atempo Miria.

· Assess source and target environments, identifying risks and dependencies.

· Develop migration schedules, cutover plans, and rollback strategies.

• Sizing & Capacity Planning (Specific to Atempo Miria)

· Perform detailed sizing analysis tailored to Atempo Miria workflows.

· Calculate throughput, concurrency, and bandwidth requirements based on Miria's architecture.

· Define optimal Miria agent deployment (number of agents, CPU/memory allocation, parallel streams).

· Ensure proper scaling of Miria servers, proxies, and metadata handling for large datasets.

· Provide recommendations for resource allocation to maximize migration efficiency and minimize downtime.

• Execution & Delivery

· Perform large-scale NAS data migrations across heterogeneous storage platforms.

· Configure and optimize Atempo Miria workflows for performance and reliability.

· Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.

• Validation & Testing

· Conduct pre-migration validation of multipathing, failover policies, and host zoning.

· Perform post-migration verification to confirm data consistency and accessibility.

· Document test results and provide detailed migration reports.

• Collaboration & Leadership

· Work closely with storage architects, system administrators, and project managers.

· Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and migration teams.

· Act as the subject matter expert for Atempo Miria within the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical Expertise

· Advanced proficiency in Atempo Miria Software (Level 3).

· Strong knowledge of NAS protocols (NFS, SMB/CIFS) and enterprise storage systems.

· Experience with multipathing, host failover policies, and SAN/NAS zoning.

· Proven ability to perform accurate Miria-specific sizing and capacity planning for large-scale migrations.

• Professional Experience

· Minimum 7–10 years in enterprise storage and data migration projects.

· Proven track record of executing large-scale NAS migrations with minimal downtime.

· Familiarity with hybrid cloud and multi-vendor storage environments.

• Soft Skills

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and documentation abilities.

· Ability to lead cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in enterprise storage technologies (e.g., HPE, NetApp, Dell EMC,).
• Experience with cloud storage migrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of data protection, backup, and disaster recovery
