Senior Technical Product Owner
Job Title: Senior Technical Product Owner
Locations: Bangalore, India
Reports to: VP of Product Management
A quick snapshot...
This role sits at the intersection of product and engineering. As a Senior Technical Product Owner, you will be embedded with Conga's India-based engineering teams for Conga Composer and Conga Sign, ensuring the backlog is always refined, requirements are technically sound, and the team has a clear path to delivery. You'll work in close partnership with the Composer and Sign product managers, translating strategy into well-scoped, executable work.
Why it's a big deal...
Composer and Sign are core products at Conga with a long track record of enterprise customer success and an exciting roadmap ahead. These are products used by thousands of businesses globally and central to Conga's product strategy and revenue.
The engineering teams building these products are talented and execution-oriented. What they need is a TPO who keeps them unblocked, well-informed, and focused on the right problems. If you are energized by getting requirements right, by being the connective tissue between strategy and delivery, and by earning the trust of both product and engineering, then this is an ideal role.
Are you the person we're looking for?
A proven product owner. You have 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical PM in a B2B SaaS environment. You've written epics and user stories that engineering teams can execute without constant clarification and you take pride in getting requirements right the first time.
Technically fluent. REST APIs are not a mystery to you. You understand how APIs are designed, documented, and consumed in enterprise software integrations, and you bring that knowledge into every refinement session and requirements conversation.
An agile practitioner. You've worked directly with Agile/Scrum engineering teams, ideally in a distributed or offshore-to-HQ model.
A clear and deliberate communicator. Whether you're writing a user story, reviewing technical documentation, or explaining a complex integration requirement, your communication is clear, complete, and leaves no room for guesswork. You write for developers and speak to stakeholders with equal confidence.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
Here's what will give you an edge...
Day to day, here's what you'll be doing:
Own epic and story refinement end-to-end: decompose product requirements into well-scoped, technically grounded user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Serve as the primary day-to-day interface between product management and engineering scrum teams for Composer and Sign.
Partner with engineering leads to identify dependencies, surface technical constraints early, and maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog.
Collaborate closely with the Technical Publications team on documentation review, providing input and suggestions that help customers succeed with the product.
Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, retrospectives, demos) and hold the team accountable to story quality and delivery readiness.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements.
Escalate blockers, risks, and scope questions to product managers and engineering managers proactively and with enough context to act on.
And if you bring any of these, you'll hit the ground running: Familiarity with document automation, e-signature, or process workflow concepts is a plus. Experience with Jira and Confluence gives you an immediate head start.
