Duration: 6 Months Contract
Shift Timings: 01:30 PM - 10:30 PM
Work Schedule: Monday WFH | Tuesday-Friday Work From Office

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior M365 Design Engineer / M365 Solution Designer to join a global Microsoft 365 Design Team. This role is focused on enterprise-level solution design, governance, architecture standards, and M365 platform optimization.

This is not an operational support or admin-only role. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on design experience and the ability to lead architecture discussions, governance reviews, and enterprise collaboration strategies across Microsoft 365 technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead end-to-end design of enterprise Microsoft 365 solutions
• Define architecture standards, governance models, and design best practices
• Design scalable collaboration and content management solutions
• Own information architecture, metadata strategy, taxonomy, and site structuring

SharePoint Online (Primary Focus)

• Design and govern:
  • Communication Sites
  • Team Sites
  • Hub Sites
  • Enterprise document management solutions
• Define permission models, access strategies, retention policies, and compliance controls
• Support integration with ECM and enterprise platforms

Microsoft Teams & OneDrive

• Define Teams architecture and governance models
• Design collaboration standards and lifecycle management
• Establish best practices for:
  • Teams collaboration
  • OneDrive usage
  • Sharing and external access controls
• Support M365 migration and adoption initiatives

Governance, Security & Compliance

• Work on M365 security and compliance capabilities
• Support data protection, audit readiness, and policy enforcement
• Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders on enterprise-ready solutions

Design Leadership

• Participate in architecture reviews and design governance discussions
• Work closely with business stakeholders, platform teams, vendors, and system integrators
• Mentor junior team members and review design artifacts

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

• Expert-level experience with:
  • SharePoint Online
  • Microsoft Teams
  • OneDrive for Business
• Strong experience designing enterprise-scale M365 solutions
• Good understanding of:
  • Governance models
  • Permissions and access control
  • Compliance and information protection

Experience Required

• 7+ years of overall IT experience
• 5+ years of Microsoft 365 experience in design/solution ownership roles
• Experience working as:
  • Senior Engineer
  • Design Lead
  • Solution Designer
  • M365 Architect

Good to Have

• Power Platform exposure (Power Apps / Power Automate)
• Large-scale M365 migration experience
• Hybrid or multi-tenant M365 experience
• Microsoft M365 or SharePoint certifications

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to convert business requirements into scalable M365 solutions
• Confident in challenging requirements and proposing better design approaches
• Comfortable working with global teams and leadership stakeholders
