JOB SUMMARY

The Principal Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading complex financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis initiatives. This role provides strategic financial insights, supports executive decision-making, and partners closely with business leaders to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term growth. The Principal FP&A Analyst plays a critical role in aligning financial strategy with organizational objectives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Strategic Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.

  • Develop advanced financial models to support strategic initiatives, investments, and scenario analysis.

  • Evaluate financial assumptions and ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency.

Financial Analysis & Business Insights

  • Analyze financial results, trends, and key performance indicators to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership and executives.

  • Support strategic decision-making through deep financial and business analysis.

Executive & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior business leaders and cross-functional teams.

  • Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.

  • Present financial analyses, forecasts, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.

Budget Governance & Cost Management

  • Monitor budget performance and track expenditures across departments.

  • Identify cost optimization and efficiency improvement opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and governance standards.

Risk Management & Financial Controls

  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Support audits, reviews, and compliance requirements.

  • Ensure integrity of financial data and reporting processes.

Process Improvement & Financial Systems

  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and reporting methodologies.

  • Leverage financial systems, automation, and analytics to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Establish best practices for forecasting, modeling, and performance reporting.

Mentorship & Leadership

  • Mentor junior FP&A analysts and contribute to capability building within the finance team.

  • Provide guidance on financial modeling, analysis, and best practices.
