1. Operational Support & Execution

Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of port operations including vessel berthing, loading/unloading, and cargo handling.
Monitor daily terminal activities to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules.
Support supervisors in resolving operational issues and minimizing downtime.

2. Process Understanding & Improvement

Learn and apply port operation processes, SOPs, and industry best practices.
Identify areas for process optimization and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in efficiency enhancement projects and cost reduction programs.

3. Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Support implementation of safety procedures and compliance with statutory guidelines.
Assist in audits, inspections, and incident reporting.

4. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

Coordinate with internal teams (maintenance, logistics, marine operations) for seamless operations.
Liaise with external stakeholders such as shipping agents, customs authorities, and transporters under supervision.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

Maintain operational records and prepare periodic reports on performance metrics (turnaround time, productivity, etc.).
Analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement areas.

6. Training & Development

Participate in structured training programs across various functions (operations, maintenance, safety, logistics).
Gain cross-functional exposure to understand end-to-end port operations.
