IT Project Manager - Global Services Implementation Team

We are seeking a highly organized and execution-driven IT Project Manager with strong experience in managing IT infrastructure and technology deployment projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery including planning, execution, coordination, governance, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and successful implementation of enterprise IT initiatives.

This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, networking, security, engineering, collaboration systems, vendors, and client stakeholders in a global environment.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Initiation

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, constraints, and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with business leaders, PMCs, vendors, and IT stakeholders for project prioritization and alignment.

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Lead IT infrastructure implementation and deployment projects across India/APAC.
  • Manage projects involving:
    • Network deployments
    • Infrastructure rollouts
    • Data center initiatives
    • System upgrades
    • Enterprise technology implementations
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, networking, security, and external vendor teams.
  • Ensure deployments align with corporate IT standards, governance, and security frameworks.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve bottlenecks.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings, status reporting, and escalation management.
  • Manage coordination with client-authorized vendors, contractors, and implementation partners.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of internal and external resources.
  • Track project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.

Risk, Quality & Governance

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, PM standards, and quality processes.
  • Maintain project documentation including:
    • Project plans
    • Risk registers
    • Change requests
    • Status reports
    • Closure reports
  • Conduct project quality reviews and implementation audits.

Project Closure

  • Ensure smooth handover to operations and support teams.
  • Capture lessons learned and implementation best practices.
  • Prepare final project closure documentation and sign-offs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
    • Information Technology
    • Computer Science
    • Engineering
    • Business Information Systems
    • Or related discipline
  • 3-5+ years of experience in IT Project Management or Infrastructure Project Delivery.
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced enterprise environments.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as:
    • PMI / PMP
    • PRINCE2
    • Agile / Scrum

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure environments including:
    • Network Technologies
    • Data Center Infrastructure
    • Enterprise Systems
    • Cloud Environments
  • Good understanding of Cisco networking concepts and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as:
    • MS Project
    • Jira
    • ServiceNow
    • Or similar tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
