Salesforce CPQ QA Engineer – Contract Role
Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce CPQ QA Engineer for a contract role to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) implementations within the Salesforce ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Salesforce QA, CPQ functionality, and test automation, with the ability to work in an Agile delivery environment. This role ensures high-quality CPQ implementations, minimizing revenue-impacting defects and enabling smooth quote-to-cash operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce CPQ solutions
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT support testing across CPQ features
  • Validate configuration of CPQ components including:
    • Product bundles
    • Pricing rules
    • Discount schedules
    • Quote templates
    • Approval processes
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across Salesforce objects (Opportunities, Quotes, Contracts, etc.)
  • Support end-to-end testing of quote-to-cash processes
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts (where applicable)
  • Perform environment and release validation testing
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of QA experience in Salesforce environments
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ testing
  • Strong understanding of:
    • CPQ product configuration
    • Pricing logic and rules
    • Quote lifecycle processes
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data model and standard objects
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, CPQ Specialist)
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Copado QA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of integration testing (APIs, middleware, ERP integrations)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management
  • Familiarity with order management or billing systems
  • Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud
  • Exposure to billing, invoicing, or subscription models
  • Performance testing experience
  • Data migration and validation experience
