Assistant Manager - Planning
Responsibilities (List all)
Inventory Control: Manage stock levels of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods, ensuring accuracy through regular, physical counts.
Logistics & Storage: Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch operations, ensuring proper material handling and storage according to safety protocols
Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with production and procurement departments to ensure timely availability of materials for production and dispatch of finished goods.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper warehouse housekeeping, fire safety, and hazard control.
Documentation & Systems: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, invoices, and challans, often using SAP systems.
Team Management: Supervise, train, and schedule store personnel to ensure efficiency and adherence to procedures.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all incoming material is verified for quality by the respective department before inward entry.
Ensuring compliance with legal and industrial standards, such as ISO 9001/14001.
Ensuring proper material stacking, labeling (lot numbers), and housekeeping standards
Required Skills / Qualifications / Certifications / Tech Stack (List all)
Essential
Technical: Proficiency in SAP/ERP modules, inventory forecasting, and data analysis tools like advanced Excel.
Leadership: Ability to manage a team of store assistants, loaders, and data entry operators.
Organizational: High attention to detail for reconciling variances and managing complex supply chains.
Material issuance accuracy.
Warehouse, safety, and housekeeping standards.
Preferable
System Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally).
Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of INCOTERMS, inventory classification (ABC analysis), and transport documentation.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze stock reports, identify bottlenecks, and forecast requirements.
Leadership: Experience managing warehouse staff and enforcing safety protocols.
