The HR professional will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations for US employees, ensuring compliance with US labor laws, handling employee relations, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and supporting talent management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage end-to-end HR lifecycle for US employees (onboarding to offboarding)
- Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, etc.)
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Handle audits, compliance checks, and policy implementation
- Coordinate US payroll processing with vendors (ADP, Paychex, Workday, etc.)
- Manage benefits administration (health insurance, 401(k), PTO, leaves)
- Address payroll discrepancies and employee queries
- Act as a point of contact for US employees regarding HR policies and concerns
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Support performance management and appraisal cycles
- Support US hiring processes in coordination with recruitment teams
- Conduct background checks, offer rollouts, and onboarding sessions
- Ensure smooth joining experience for new hires
- Draft, update, and implement HR policies aligned with US laws
- Support HR process improvement and automation initiatives
- Partner with leadership on HR strategy and workforce planning
- Strong knowledge of US HR practices and labour laws
- Experience handling US payroll and benefits
- Hands-on experience with HRMS tools (Workday, ADP, BambooHR, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in US time zones
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent
- Experience working with US-based employees or clients
- SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP certification (preferred)
