Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Role Overview

As Strategy Lead - Group Technology Office (GTO), you will shape and drive groupwide digital, tech and AI priorities, working across businesses and corporate functions. The role blends strategy with execution - identifying the right problems to solve, converting ideas into scalable initiatives, and ensuring they deliver measurable outcomes.

You will work closely with business and tech leaders, and partners to accelerate applied AI adoption, strengthen internal capability, and position Mahindra Digital Engine (MDE) as the Group's technology and AI talent hub. This is a highimpact role offering strong exposure, fast learning, and the opportunity to influence enterprisescale change.

This role sits at the centre of how we design, adopt, and scale technology and AI across the Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE

Technology, digital & AI strategy roadmap

Drive groupwide technology, digital, and AI strategy aligned to business priorities. Own strategy narratives, operating models, and leadership updates, ensuring clarity, alignment, and execution momentum.

AI SPOC for Group Corporate Office (GCO)

Act as the single point of ownership for AI initiatives across Group corporate functions including legal, HR, audit, quality, finance, accounts, and other central teams. Help these functions identify, adopt, and scale AI use cases that improve efficiency, decisionmaking, and experiences.

AI Adoption & Scaling

Move AI initiatives from concept to enterprise scale. Shape PoCtoproduction strategies, ensuring readiness across data, architecture, security, governance, and change adoption. Maintain a strong focus on value creation rather than experimentation alone.

Cross-Business Collaboration & Orchestration

Work closely with CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders across Mahindra companies to orchestrate crosscutting initiatives. Enable reuse of platforms, patterns, and learnings while balancing enterprise alignment with businessspecific needs.

Capability building, learning & upskilling

Strengthen digital and AI capability across MDE and group teams through focused learning initiatives, handson programs, and ecosystem partnerships. Build applied skills and help position MDE as a destination for highquality tech, digital and AI talent.

Partner ecosystem & innovation

Partner with hyperscalers, startups, and specialist partners to accelerate innovation and scaling, while ensuring critical capabilities are built internally over time.

Employee engagement & MDE positioning

Contribute to a culture of learning, ownership, and collaboration within MDE. Support internal showcases and leadership visibility to reinforce MDE as the digital and AI talent hub

M1 - Group Customer Data & HyperPersonalisation

Drive strategy and adoption of M1, Mahindra Group's common customer database. Enable businesses to use shared customer data for hyperpersonalisation, experienceled use cases, and crossbusiness value while ensuring strong governance, privacy, and security.

Experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or MBA

Comfortable operating in ambiguity, connecting strategy with execution, influencing without authority, and building capabilities that scale.
