About The Job:
- We are looking for a skilled PL/SQL & Shell Scripting Developer with strong experience in Oracle database development and Unix/Linux scripting.
- The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in writing optimized PL/SQL code, handling large datasets, and automating batch processes using shell scripts.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize performance using explain plans and indexing strategies
- Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for job automation and batch processing
- Work with large data volumes and perform data validation and reconciliation
- Handle file processing (.dat, .ctl, .csv) and SQL*Loader-based integrations
- Monitor and troubleshoot production jobs and resolve performance issues
- Collaborate with application and business teams for requirement analysis
- Implement error handling, logging, and audit mechanisms
- Support deployment and release activities across environments
- Experience : 4.5 to 7 Years
- Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL
- Advanced SQL (joins, analytic functions, tuning)
- Performance tuning & query optimization
- Partitioning concepts
- Indexing strategies
- SQL*Loader
- Understanding of Oracle architecture
Scripting Skills
- Unix/Linux shell scripting (bash/ksh)
- Cron job management
- File handling and automation
- Experience with awk, sed, grep preferred
Good to Have
- Experience in Banking / Financial domain (Risk, IFRS, Regulatory reporting, etc.)
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts
- Git or version control systems
