About The Job:
- The client is looking for a Microsoft 365 Automation & Graph API Engineer to design, build, and support automation solutions that integrate Excel data with Microsoft Whiteboard.
- The primary focus of this role is to automate the creation of Microsoft Whiteboard sticky notes (Post-it notes) from Excel data using Power Automate and Microsoft Graph APIs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design and implement automated workflows to migrate Excel data to Microsoft Whiteboard as individual Post-it notes.
- Develop Power Automate cloud flows to read, process, and transform Excel data stored in SharePoint or OneDrive.
- Integrate Microsoft Power Automate with Microsoft Graph APIs, including Whiteboard APIs.
- Configure and manage Azure AD App Registrations for secure API access.
- Implement REST API calls using OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Ensure scalability and performance for large datasets (100+ rows/cells).
- Design logic for object positioning and layout in Microsoft Whiteboard.
- Implement error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms for automation flows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to convert manual processes into automated solutions.
- Document solution design, user guides, and operational runbooks.
- Support ongoing improvements, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Must Haves:
- Experience with Power Automate (Cloud Flows)
- Ability to read and process data from Excel Online (Business)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Graph REST APIs
- Experience creating and testing HTTP/API calls
- Understanding of Azure AD (Entra ID) App Registrations
- Experience managing API permissions and OAuth 2.0 authentication
- Ability to work with JSON data structures
- Familiarity with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Whiteboard or similar collaboration tools
- Ability to design automation for bulk data processing (100+ records)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in Microsoft 365 automation or integration development
- Experience in enterprise-scale automation projects preferred
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset
- Agile and iterative delivery approach
