Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
ABAP Development:
Design, develop, and enhance ABAP programs, reports, function modules, forms (Smart Forms/Adobe Forms), user exits, and BADI implementations.
Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable ABAP code, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Debug and troubleshoot ABAP programs and provide fixes as needed.
SAP HANA Integration:
Work with SAP HANA to optimize data processing, improve query performance, and leverage HANA features like CDS views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and HANA optimized Open SQL.
Develop custom solutions using SAP HANA specific technologies, enhancing application performance and ensuring smooth integration with SAP HANA databases.
Performance Tuning:
Monitor and tune the performance of ABAP programs, reports, and database queries.
Use tools like ST05, SE30, SAT, and HANA Performance Monitor for performance analysis and optimization.
System Integration:
Integrate SAP applications with other enterprise systems and third-party applications using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and Web Services.
Collaborate with functional consultants to implement end-to-end solutions based on business requirements.
Customization & Enhancements:
Participate in the design and development of custom SAP solutions.
Enhance standard SAP functionality and adapt solutions to meet specific business requirements.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Develop unit tests and participate in integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.
Perform debugging and troubleshooting of errors and performance issues.
Documentation & Support:
Create detailed technical documentation for developed programs and solutions.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance of SAP applications in both development and production environments.
Collaboration:
Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants to understand business processes and translate requirements into technical specifications.
Participate in SAP upgrade and migration projects (e.g., from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA).
