Netapp Storage - Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and administer NetApp storage systems (AFF/FAS series) running ONTAP.

• Perform day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of storage systems.

• Manage data replication using SnapMirror and SnapVault.

• Perform volume/LUN provisioning, decommissioning, and storage optimization.

• Monitor system performance and availability using tools such as NetApp Active IQ or OnCommand Insight.

• Implement and manage backup and recovery processes.

• Participate in storage capacity planning and forecasting.

• Work with VMware, Windows, and Linux administrators to provision storage to hosts.

• Perform firmware upgrades and apply patches following change management procedures.

• Troubleshoot issues and provide root cause analysis.

• Maintain documentation for systems and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–7 years of hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP (7-Mode and/or Cluster-Mode).

• Experience with NetApp tools like SnapCenter, Active IQ Unified Manager, OnCommand System Manager.

• Strong understanding of SAN and NAS protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS/SMB).

• Experience with Fibre Channel switches (Brocade or Cisco MDS) and zoning.

• Familiarity with backup software (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, or NetBackup).

• Understanding of networking concepts related to storage (VLANs, multipathing, etc.).

• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is a plus.

• Experience working in virtualized environments (VMware vSphere).

• NetApp certifications (e.g., NCDA, NCIE) are preferred.
