Key Responsibilities:
Required Skills and Experience:
- Fortinet Firewall Management:
Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting FortiGate firewalls, including VPNs, routing, and network access policies. - Network Security Implementation:
Deploying and integrating secure network infrastructure, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiWeb, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP. - Security Policy Management:
Developing and enforcing security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices. - Network Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and resolving complex network security issues, including performance problems and security incidents. - Security Monitoring and Analysis:
Monitoring network traffic, analyzing security logs, and identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities. - Incident Response:
Responding to security incidents, collaborating with the SOC team, and mitigating threats. - Documentation and Reporting:
Creating and maintaining documentation of network configurations, security procedures, and incident reports. - Collaboration:
Working with other IT teams to ensure network reliability and security. - Training and Support:
Providing training and support for network security tools and technologies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Fortinet Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Fortinet products, particularly FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
- Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP), routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
- Security Concepts: Familiarity with security concepts such as intrusion detection and prevention, firewall policies, and security best practices.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Fortinet Certifications: Fortinet NSE certifications are often preferred.
