SAP BW on Hana

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP BW on HANA Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW on HANA data models, data flows, and transformations.

  • Implement BW InfoObjects, DSOs (Data Store Objects), Cubes, DSOs, and Composite Providers to support business reporting needs.

  • Build and optimize HANA-optimized objects such as HANA views, Advanced DataStore Objects (ADSO), and Open ODS views.

• ETL & Data Integration:

  • Design and implement ETL processes using SAP BW's extraction framework (SAP BW-ETL) and integrate with SAP and non-SAP data sources.

  • Perform data extraction from SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP CRM, and other third-party systems into SAP BW.

  • Implement data transformations, cleansing, and loading of data into SAP BW on HANA using native HANA capabilities.

• Reporting and Analytics:

  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver optimized data models for reporting and analytics.

  • Work with front-end tools like SAP Business Explorer (BEx), SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Lumira to design reports and dashboards.

  • Design complex queries using HANA SQL and improve query performance for reporting needs.

• Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize SAP BW on HANA processes for better performance, including BEx queries, data load, and transformations.

  • Ensure that the solution can handle large volumes of data while maintaining quick response times.

• System Administration and Maintenance:

  • Perform system monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation of SAP BW on HANA environments.

  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy in all SAP BW objects and reports.

  • Conduct regular system upgrades, migrations, and support pack updates.

• Collaboration & Support:

  • Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, and other technical teams to ensure that the SAP BW solution meets business requirements.

  • Provide post-implementation support, including troubleshooting, enhancements, and issue resolution.

• Documentation & Best Practices:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for design, implementation, and configuration.

  • Follow best practices for SAP BW on HANA and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and capabilities in SAP HANA and BW technology.
