SAP MDG

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP MDG Implementation:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions across various master data domains (e.g., Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master).

  • Define and implement data governance frameworks for master data, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

  • Customize and configure SAP MDG to meet specific business requirements and provide data validation, enrichment, and workflow management.

• Data Governance & Strategy:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement master data processes, workflows, and data validation rules.

  • Establish and maintain governance structures for effective data stewardship, data quality, and data lifecycle management.

  • Implement and maintain data quality metrics and reports, ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of master data quality.

• Integration & Data Flow Management:

  • Integrate SAP MDG with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other third-party systems for seamless master data flow and synchronization.

  • Configure MDG data replication to ensure synchronization of master data across SAP and non-SAP systems.

  • Manage Data Quality (DQ) and Data Cleansing processes to ensure data integrity across all systems.

• User Training & Support:

  • Provide end-user training and support for the SAP MDG platform, ensuring users understand data governance policies and procedures.

  • Resolve support issues related to master data governance, including data corrections, data quality issues, and governance workflows.

• Process Optimization & Improvement:

  • Continuously optimize and enhance the SAP MDG solution for better performance and efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve data governance workflows to streamline business processes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP MDG integration, functionality, and performance.

• Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Work closely with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to ensure the MDG solution aligns with business requirements.

  • Facilitate workshops and gather requirements from business stakeholders to drive improvements in master data governance.

  • Act as a liaison between the technical team and business users to ensure that master data governance processes meet business objectives.

• Documentation & Best Practices:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, system configurations, process flows, and training materials.

  • Follow best practices in SAP MDG implementation and contribute to the development of internal guidelines and standards.
