Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances (2016/2019/2022)
Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies (indexes, queries, etc.)
Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning and testing
Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell)
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication)
Apply security best practices, including role-based access control, auditing, and encryption
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide support to application and infrastructure teams
Perform capacity planning and recommend infrastructure upgrades
Maintain documentation of all systems and procedures
Participate in on-call support and after-hours maintenance when necessary
