Desktop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability of IT services.
  • Manage Active Directory, Office 365, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
  • Handle data backups, disaster recovery, and data security protocols.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
  • Install and update software applications and security patches.
  • Manage IT asset inventory, licensing, and documentation.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices including antivirus, firewall, and vulnerability management.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, AMC, and support contracts.
  • Provide end-user support for hardware, software, email, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
  • Implement IT policies and standards as per company guidelines.
  • Maintain access control systems, biometric systems, and CCTV monitoring solutions.
  • Ensure proper functioning and uptime of internet connectivity, firewall, and VPN solutions.

  • Windows Server Administration (2016/2019/2022)
  • Active Directory, Group Policy Management
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, VPN, Firewall)
  • Hardware troubleshooting (Servers, Laptops, Printers, Scanners)
  • Cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery Management
  • IT Documentation and Asset Management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in IT support in a corporate/manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
  • Immediate joiners will be given preference.
