Network Admin

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Configuration & Maintenance:

   • Design, implement, and manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks (Wi-Fi).

   • Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

   • Perform network upgrades and expansions as needed.

2. Troubleshooting & Support:

   • Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, both remote and onsite, ensuring minimal downtime.

   • Provide support for network-related incidents and service requests, working closely with end-users and internal teams.

3. Network Security:

   • Implement network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

   • Monitor network traffic for any security threats or breaches and take corrective actions.

   • Maintain proper backup systems and disaster recovery plans for network resources.

4. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

   • Monitor network performance, availability, and utilization through monitoring tools.

   • Proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or issues that could impact network performance.

   • Optimize network systems to ensure efficient data flow and high availability.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

   • Maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, and other technical documentation.

   • Regularly report on network performance, security audits, and system status to senior IT management.
