| Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities) | We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Application Packager with a strong background in application packaging and deployment in enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in MSI, MSIX, App-V, Intune Win32 packaging, and automation tools. This role will be responsible for end-to-end packaging lifecycle, ensuring smooth deployment, minimal user disruption, and adherence to security and compliance standards. |
| Mandatory skills |
Minimum of 9 years' experience in enterprise-scale application packaging. Hands-on experience with:
Familiarity with application virtualization and containerization concepts. Knowledge of enterprise security standards, GPOs, and application hardening. Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Cherwell. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. |
| Desired/ Secondary skills |
Package applications using industry-standard tools such as AdminStudio, InstallShield, WiseScript, PowerShell, and PSADT. Work with MSI, MSIX, App-V, and Intune Win32 packaging formats. Analyze application installation requirements and prepare detailed packaging documentation. Collaborate with Application Owners, UAT teams, and Deployment teams to ensure package readiness. Perform application conflict analysis and remediation. Manage application packaging requests and prioritize workloads based on business needs. Support software distribution through SCCM, Intune, or other deployment tools. Troubleshoot packaging and deployment issues in test and production environments. Maintain and update packaging SOPs and technical documentation. Provide mentorship to junior packagers and review their work when needed. |
