Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester with 4 years of hands-on experience in data validation, ETL processes, and backend testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of data transformations and migrations through well-structured test plans and strategies.Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute ETL test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data migration and transformation projects.
- Perform data validation, data integrity, and data quality checks on data extracted from various sources and loaded into data warehouses.
- Validate ETL mappings, workflows, and sessions created using tools like Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend testing, source-to-target data validation, and data profiling.
- Work closely with ETL developers, data architects, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure data accuracy.
- Conduct root cause analysis of data issues and provide detailed defect documentation.
- Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement in the QA process.
- Collaborate with the QA lead and project teams to ensure timely delivery of test deliverables.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehousing projects.
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data flows, and data transformation logic.
- Experience with at least one ETL tool (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
- Hands-on experience with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or Snowflake.
- Familiarity with test automation and data comparison tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of BI/reporting tools (like Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous.
