Description: Key Responsibilities: Architect and implement automation solutions for Windows platform services including provisioning, upgrades, patching, configuration, and compliance. Develop and maintain scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools. Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks. Lead efforts in developing automation workflows for lifecycle upgrades along with security baseline remediation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and security. Maintain technical documentation and automation standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues using automated diagnostics and recovery. Interface with vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate and implement new automation technologies. Technical Skills: Scripting and programming: Proficiency with PowerShell or Python is a must Configuration management: Experience with tools and methodologies like Puppet, Ansible, or Active Directory Group Policy Management. Familiarity with ServiceNow workflows and ITSM practices. Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 7+ years of experience in Windows platform engineering and automation. Expert-level proficiency in PowerShell and Windows Server (2019/2022/2025). Experience with one of the automation orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SCCM. Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows security. Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) – Windows Server Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate ITIL Foundation Certification IT Asset Management, BMC Discovery, Windows Server admin, User admin, Software installations/uninstallations, OS upgrades and patching |
