Role Overview
We are seeking a Fivetran Lead to own and drive ingestion modernization as part of a large-scale migration from AWS Glue + Redshift to AWS Databricks Lakehouse.
This role will focus on replacing legacy ingestion frameworks with Fivetran connectors, establishing enterprise ingestion governance, and ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable data movement across systems.

This role will focus on replacing legacy ingestion frameworks with Fivetran connectors, establishing enterprise ingestion governance, and ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable data movement across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the replacement of legacy Glue ingestion pipelines with Fivetran-managed connectors.
- Design end-to-end ELT ingestion frameworks for Databricks Lakehouse.
- Map source-to-target migration from Redshift tables into Delta Lake structures.
- Configure, deploy, and optimize Fivetran connectors (DB log-based, SaaS, API-based).
- Manage connector lifecycle: setup, incremental syncs, CDC, schema evolution.
- Monitor connector performance, SLAs, usage, and cost.
- Define ingestion standards: naming conventions, folder structures, schema handling.
- Ensure secure credential management for all connectors (IAM roles, key rotation).
- Implement automated alerting, audit logging, and operational reliability.
- Work with Databricks teams to align ingestion to downstream Lakehouse layers.
- Coordinate with application owners and DBAs for connector setup and performance tuning.
- Support decommissioning of Glue/Redshift ingestion logic.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Fivetran implementation experience.
- Deep knowledge of Fivetran connector types (CDC, SaaS, custom connectors).
- Strong SQL skills for validating data quality post-ingestion.
- Experience working with AWS services (S3, IAM, RDS, Redshift, CloudWatch).
- Understanding of Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, and Databricks platform.
- Experience with ELT patterns and downstream transformation frameworks like DBT.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience automating Fivetran using Terraform modules or Fivetran REST APIs.
- Experience in large-scale cloud migration programs.
- Knowledge on any traditional ETL tools like BODS/Informatica/Snaplogic
