About The Job:
- SAP Clean Core Transformation project focuses on modernizing the SAP landscape and aligning custom developments with SAP’s Clean Core and cloud-ready principles.
- The objective is to simplify the system, improve maintainability, and ensure scalability by minimizing core modifications and using standardized, upgrade-safe solutions.
- As part of this initiative, the project will define and implement ABAP cloud transformation strategies to move legacy custom code toward cloud-compliant architectures.
- It will leverage SAP BTP for side-by-side extensibility, using modern tools, APIs, and event-driven frameworks to create efficient and innovative business solutions.
- The consultant will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering ABAP solutions aligned with Clean Core and cloud extensibility standards.
- The role involves close collaboration with business and IT teams to guide technology, architecture, and process decisions while ensuring all solutions meet organizational and regulatory compliance, building a sustainable and future-ready SAP environment.
- Define and implement Clean Core strategies to ensure upgrade-safe and resilient SAP landscapes.
- Develop and maintain solutions using the ABAP Cloud Programming Model, ABAP CDS, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model.
- Apply hands-on experience in both Key User and Developer extensibility scenarios within SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP environments.
- Utilize ABAP development tools including ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Eclipse, and SAP Business Application Studio.
- Collaborate closely with customer and partner teams to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and design ABAP cloud-ready applications, extensions, services, and integration scenarios.
- Understanding of integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, and event-driven architectures
- Design solution Architecture and contribute to the implementation plan for the solution.
- Guide teams on selecting the right extensibility approach (in-app, on-stack, side-by-side).
- Contribute to Fiori and UI5 development initiatives to enhance user-centric design within the transformation framework.
- Engage with internal teams such as Product, Engineering, and Architecture to drive automation and enforce ABAP cloud-readiness standards.
- Lead Clean Core strategy discussions and ensure adoption of best practices across all ABAP Cloud development activities.
- Identify, assess and recommend opportunities for application and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with SAP development guidelines and Security best practices.
- Stay updated with SAP’s clean core roadmap, RAP updates, and S/4HANA innovations.
