About the Role
As an Associate - Video Editor, you will own end-to-end editing and post-production for Zinnov's brand and marketing content-ranging from thought leadership videos and podcasts to event and social media content. This is a hands-on role that blends creative storytelling with strong execution discipline: you'll partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand the intent, shape the narrative, and deliver polished, platform-ready outputs.
You will also support shoots when required-working with camera setups, green screen production, and on-ground coordination to ensure content is captured cleanly and edited to a high quality bar.
What You'll Do
Creative Collaboration & Storytelling
- Collaborate with stakeholders (internal/external) to define the desired look, feel, and outcome of each video.
- Build a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the content and translate it into a compelling edit.
- Create concept boards / rough cuts to align early and reduce rework later.
Editing & Post-Production
- Gather, organize, and transfer all media into editing software; ensure correct formats and version control.
- Edit videos using preselected music, interviews, sound clips, transitions, and other essential elements.
- Improve video and sound quality through color correction, audio cleanup, leveling, and enhancement techniques.
- Deliver final assets in the right specifications and formats based on stakeholder/platform requirements.
Shoots, Equipment & Green Screen
- Participate in shoots when needed-supporting camera operations and on-ground production execution.
- Set up and work with green screen environments and execute green screen edits as required.
- Operate and manage video production equipment used for capture and effects.
Quality Control & Delivery Discipline
- Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across outputs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting milestones and timelines.
- Ensure smooth handoffs, clear file organization, and predictable delivery workflows.
What You Bring
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience editing a range of video formats (brand, corporate, social, interviews, podcasts).
- Experience in filmmaking/videography and post-production workflows.
- Green screen editing experience is a must.
Key Skills
- Professional mastery of video and audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro) and effects tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Strong understanding of sound, pacing, storytelling, and visual continuity.
- Excellent communication skills to align on scope, direction, and feedback loops.
- High ownership and ability to work independently while collaborating tightly with creative teams.
- Strong time management and multitasking across multiple parallel deliverables.
- Curiosity to learn, improve, and stay updated on trends and best practices in video/podcast production and editing.
- Strong ethics, integrity, and a consistent quality bar.
Tools & Equipment Familiarity
- Video editing software (Adobe Premiere / Final Cut Pro or equivalent)
- Visual effects and design tools (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Production equipment (cameras, audio gear, green screen setups, monitors/headphones/recorders)
