Software Engineer -ESG Data Engineer

Data Extraction and Distribution

Develop and implement robust data extraction processes from diverse source systems, including structured and unstructured data.

Build integrations that ensure seamless data flow between systems, adhering to bank-wide data governance standards and then ultimately make the data products are available to our downstream consumers.

Monitor pipeline performance to ensure timely delivery and scalability of data products

Data Transformation

Design and execute data transformation logic to convert raw data according to set methodologies aligned with reporting and analytical requirements.

Automate data preparation and enrichment processes to support downstream analytics and reporting.

Data Quality Assurance

Implement Data quality controls in collaboration with the data product owners.

Ensure data quality controls are executed and develop reports thereon to dataproduct owns and other stakeholders.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

Collaborate closely with dataproduct consumers, specifically in Finance department.

Identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the value of data products.

Work with out Technology teams on developing our firm-wide dataproduct framework and systems and to ultimately transition the data products onto the strategic platforms.

Data Engineer: (Seniority : Intermediate)

Python data analysis/engineering capability using libraries (for e.g. Pandas etc) with unit testing capabilities such as Pytest. Agile/Scrum knowledge is a plus

Knowledge of SG Datalake or previous data lake experience

GitHub features to track issues, milestones, and projects.

Knowledge of SG Dashboard, SG Farms, SG MAXX, SG Workflow, SG Lucid, MS Fabric or other data tooling would be helpful for transition to cloud/scalable solutions

Vanilla javascript capabilities will be helpful to make SG Dashboard widgets for e.g.

Knowledge or experience with pipeline/ETL/ELT tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, etc) and data transformation techniques.

Oral and written skills in English and/or French (C1 level)
