Vi soker en RTD Engineer till vart Research & Technology Development Team inom affarsomradet Mill Lining (MLB).
I rollen ansvarar du for utveckling av nya produkter, forbattring av befintligt produktsortiment samt utveckling av nya processer eller teknologier i ide- och proof of conceptstadiet.
Din roll ar avgorande for vart framtida erbjudande, med fokus pa sakerhet, hallbarhet, kostnad och prestanda, vilket bidrar till strategin och framgangen for Mill Liningaffarsomradet. Du sakerstaller gott samarbete med vara produktchefer och andra intressenter. Rollen kombinerar tekniskt utvecklingsarbete med projektledning.
I denna tjanst rapporterar du till Lars Furtenbach, Director Research and Technology Development.Tjansten ar primart placerad i Skelleftea dar vart laboratorium finns, men andra placeringar vid Metso's huvudhubbar kan vara aktuella.

Dina arbetsuppgifter
- Utveckla nya produkter, losningar och koncept inom mill lining med fokus pa sakerhet, hallbarhet, kostnad och prestanda
- Forbattra befintliga produkter (prestanda, kvalitet, sakerhet, konkurrenskraft, samt utokning av storlekar och alternativ)
- Utveckla nya processer eller teknologier i ide- och proof of conceptfas
- Planera och driva utvecklingsprojekt enligt overenskommen tidsplan och budget med hjalp av
- Planera, folja upp och dokumentera falttester
- Tillhandahalla projektspecifik information till vara produktstandarder for anvandning av interna intressenter
- Stotta organisationen vid lansering med material och kunskap for en effektiv overforing till marknaden
- Stotta vara leverantorskedjor inom gummi, PolyMet och metall med produktkunskap
- Genomfora rotorsaksanalyser (RCA) for MLprodukter
- Du ges mojlighet att resa inom Sverige och internationellt da vi har kunder, fabriker och testverksamhet pa olika platser.
Vem du ar
- Civil- eller hogskoleingenjor inom maskinteknik, eller motsvarande erfarenhet fran narliggande produkter
- Erfarenhet av att driva eller bidra i utvecklingsprojekt
- Hog grad av kreativitet och innovationsformaga
- Grundlaggande kunskap inom immaterialratt (IPR)
- Flytande engelska i tal och skrift
Meriterande om du har eller kan:
- Fordjupad kunskap om gummi- och metallmaterial samt tillverkningsprocesser
- God forstaelse och erfarenhet av mill liningprodukter
- Overgripande forstaelse for gruvprocesser och tillhorande utrustning
- Formaga att leda projekt i en global matrisorganisation
- Vi valkomnar bade dig med nagra ars erfarenhet och dig som arbetat langre inom omradet

We are seeking a RTD Engineer to join our Research & Technology Development Team in Mill Lining business line (MLB). You will be responsible for the development of new products, improving existing portfolio, new processes or technologies at idea and proof of concept stage.
Your role plays a crucial part in our future offerings focusing on safety, sustainability, cost and performance, which will contribute to the strategy and success of the Mill Lining business line. You will ensure cooperation with our product managers and other stakeholders. The role combines technical development work with project management.
In this position, you will report to Lars Furtenbach, Director, Research and Technology Development.
This position is primary in Skelleftea where the test laboratory is located but other locations at main Metso hubs are possible. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

You will join a team of professionals dedicated to building the foundation for the future of Mill Lining business line offerings with a focus on sustainable and digital solutions.
We work closely with the full Mill Lining community and all our internal stakeholders. Our team culture is all about creating value and succeeding together.
What you'll do
Develop new mill lining products, solutions and concepts with focus on safety, sustainability, cost and performance.
Improve existing products (performance, quality, safety, competitiveness, additional sizes or options)
Develop new processes or technologies at idea and proof of concept stage.
Plan, follow up and document field test activities.
Provide project specific details to our product standards for our stakeholders to use.
Support the launch organization with material and knowledge to get the most efficient transfer to market.
Support our Rubber, Poly-Met and Metallic supply chains with product knowledge.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for ML products.
Who you are
Masters or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience from related products.
In depth knowledge of rubber and metallic materials and the process to manufacture our products.
High understanding and experience of Mill Lining products.
Experience in leading or contributing to development projects.
A high degree of creativity and innovation.
General IPR knowledge.
General mining process knowledge including related equipment.
You can lead projects in a global matrix organization
You must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
