JOB PURPOSE

This role is responsible for supporting the execution of day-to-day engineering operations, focusing on specialized machinery, electrical supply, and refrigeration systems, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards and safety compliance in the perishable goods industry.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification.

Work Experience:

A relevant experience of minimum 0-1 years in a similar industry or technical role.

Preferred Industry:

Experience in the perishable goods industry is preferred with a focus on similar technical or engineering roles.

Engineering Team Member - S4

Specialized Machinery:

• Assist in the operation and management of forklifts to handle goods within Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage facilities.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on grading machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
• Ensure proper alignment and space optimization within storage units, up to 10 meters, as directed.

Electrical Supply to CA Storage:

• Monitor electrical supply systems under the guidance of the Engineering Lead to prevent downtime.
• Execute established rapid response protocols to address minor electrical issues.
• Conduct routine inspections to maintain a consistent and stable electrical environment.

Refrigeration:

• Support the operation and monitoring of refrigeration systems to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and gas composition.
• Assist in implementing response protocols for resolving minor refrigeration system issues.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to maintain refrigeration system performance and product quality.

Coordination and Efficiency:

• Collaborate with internal team for the maintenance of grading machinery, electrical systems, refrigeration units, and forklifts.
• Execute assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure the durability of perishable products and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to team efforts in streamlining operations and enhancing productivity.

Safety Compliance:

• Follow all safety regulations like FSSAI and industry standards during engineering operations.
• Assist in preparations for regular third-party audits to ensure compliance with operational quality standards.
• Maintain a safety-first mindset and promote a culture of safety within the team.

Digitization and Automation:

• Support the implementation of digitization strategies by maintaining accurate data and logs.
• Assist in the operation of automation solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.

Internal and External Relations:

• Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders to execute tasks as per organizational goals.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to support the procurement of materials and services as directed.
