About The Job:
- We are looking for a highly analytical Test Engineer who goes beyond requirement-based testing. The ideal candidate should be able to critically analyze system behavior, identify hidden risks, and design thoughtful test scenarios including negative and edge cases.
- This role requires someone who can think independently, challenge assumptions, and uncover issues that are not explicitly documented in requirements, particularly in systems involving GenAI capabilities.
- Analyze system workflows and identify edge cases, negative scenarios, and potential failure points beyond documented requirements.
- Design and execute thoughtful, high-quality test cases covering complex user flows and risk areas.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and system vulnerabilities.
- Test GenAI-powered features, including prompt testing, hallucination detection, guardrail validation, and response consistency.
- Execute tests, investigate failures, and collaborate with engineering teams for root cause analysis.
- Contribute to improving overall product quality through critical thinking and proactive testing approaches.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in software testing or QA engineering.
- Strong experience in exploratory testing, negative testing, and edge case discovery.
- Experience testing GenAI / AI-driven applications or strong understanding of AI testing concepts.
- Ability to derive meaningful test scenarios from evolving or incomplete requirements.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think creatively to break systems.
