About The Client:

Essential Job Functions:
- As a Product Manager, you will be reporting into a Lead Product Manager. Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the Product Manager’s role, key responsibilities, and measures:
- Have complete ownership of a complex API or engineering platform component involving multiple internal/external stakeholders and drive the product strategy and execution for that product.
- Formulate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the product you own and work with stakeholders across teams to align strategic priorities, dependencies, and roadmap.
- Responsible for identifying key measures of success (OKRs) and driving the resulting performance and adoption of the product(s).

Leverage domain knowledge in omni-channel retail and order management to assess new opportunities through:
- Gathering ideas
- Conducting research
- Carrying out analysis
- Refining requirements
- Prioritizing new initiatives
- Plan and coordinate significant product efforts with dependencies across multiple products and delivery teams.

Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog for owned components and write user stories. Responsibilities include:
- Grooming the backlog with the team
- Ensuring a healthy backlog for the area of ownership
- Steer sprint and release planning sessions with engineering counterparts to effectively deliver maximum business value with minimal effort.

Identify and drive improvements in:
- Product performance
- Service levels
- Quality
- Reliability
- Security

Lead discovery work around Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for new features by:
- Collaborating with delivery teams
- Engaging internal/external stakeholders
- Prototyping MVPs
- Validating MVP outcomes

Help the team break down complex work and create:
- Epics
- User stories
- Smaller deliverable chunks of value

Identify and remove impediments faced by the team by:
- Working with the Head of Product and stakeholders
- Proactively highlighting risks or delays
- Be accountable for product performance and adoption and work toward expanding the customer base.
