About The Job:

  • The Senior Project Manager leads the project team through the project by establishing governance that befits the needs of the project.
  • They develop a plan that maximises value to the stakeholders, ensure the execution of that plan and track the team’s performance against it.
  • The Senior Project Manager ensures that the project is optimised to prioritise value within balanced constraints and manages expectations through complex environments.
Mission based responsibilities
  • The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing large-scale, complex projects and ensuring their successful delivery on-time, within scope, and budget.
  • In doing so they must set, manage and fulfil customer expectations to ensure the project is a success.
  • The Senior Project Manager role, as described, to be oriented toward ensuring that large-scale, complex projects not only meet technical requirements but also contribute significantly to the organization's strategic objectives and deliver tangible benefits.
  • The Senior Project manager will apply the relevant project managemement methodology for the project life cycle.
  • In case of Agile or Hydbrid methodologies, the Project manager will endeavour to act as a Scrum Master, driving efficiency, collaboration, empowerment and value creation based on Agile principles.
  • The Senior Project Manager role will also be engaged during pre-sales stages to support and contribute to the proposals helping in winning the deals.
  • The Senior Project Manager will also play a vital role in ensuring seamless service integration of partners into the solution being delivered.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Define and oversee project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility for large-scale, complex projects.
  • Ensure that any commitments made are feasible and achievable.
  • Develop, maintain, and adapt detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and objectives.
  • Organise project tasks and allocate resources, ensuring that significant projects are successfully delivered on-time, within scope, and budget.
  • Implement and maintain the project governance structure, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and standards, adapting to the needs of each project.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate change control processes and tools.
  • Collect, rationalise, analyse, and utilise multiple points of project data to inform decision-making and drive project performance.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance processes, ensuring project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and resolve issues across significant or complex projects.
  • Maintain a risk register and issue log.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define, manage and realise project benefits, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.
  • Ensure seamless project handover to operations, including training and support documentation.
  • Responsible for the performance review of the PMs directly reporting to the senior PM.
  • Provide feedback on performance of project resources.
  • Work with line managers to develop performance improvement plans where required.

Qualifications:
Knowledge and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Deep understanding of business finance and project budgeting.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to drive results across cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of organisational products and solutions.
  • Education, qualifications, and certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering or related field.
  • Professional Project Management and Agile certification (PMP and PMI-ACP)
  • Synerygy Foundation & Synergy Practitioner
  • SIAM Foundation & SIAM Practitioner
Experience
  • 8 years+ experience in project management environments
  • Proven track record in managing significant projects from initiation to completion
  • Fluent English required, both spoken and written
  • Target proficiency level expected
  • Basic, Proficient, Advanced, and Expert proficiency levels across job skills and certifications
