Qualification:

Finance professional with 10 to 12 years of experience (CA, MBA, CA, CMA) in taxation and finance.

Hands on practical experience on SAP (FICO module) and Microsoft excel is must.

Working Model - Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day work from home)

Job Requirements:

International Taxation and Foreign Office Compliances:

  • Ensure timely compliances to Individual & Corporate tax requirements (returns, payments, assessment queries, etc.) for US and Canada branch offices of HAIL - at country level and state level
  • Coordination with Global Mobility Services, T&E, Legal, Transfer Pricing, HR and external consultants (E&Y) on branch office / permanent establishment related compliances before and after deputing employees overseas.
  • Co-ordination with E&Y, Assignees (deputed employee) and Payroll ensuring individual tax compliances at employee level as well as employer level
  • Review of demand and assessment notices from tax authorities
  • Management of shadow payroll of employees in India and in deputed country records
  • Wage determination of outbound assignees from HAIL ensuring FLSA compliance.
  • Attending to internal and external audit queries
  • Recovery of tax refunds through coordination with assignees and leadership
  • Highlighting shortcomings & challenges during any deputation / new center establishment to business, operations, HR, Tax and GMS leaders
  • Support to stakeholders with a holistic view on repercussions of any tax related transactions
  • Coordination with local and global legal and tax teams to maintain authorized signatories in bank and tax records, board resolution, etc.
  • Maintain branch office bank account transactions
  • Transfer in / out funds from branch office account, bank reconciliation, accounting of charges & interest
  • Monthly expense accruals for global vendor expenses on medical premium, consultancy services, etc.
  • Preparation of branch office financial statements (Balance Sheet and P&L) and income tax returns & calculations
