Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)- Bangalore

We are looking for a technically strong and analytically minded individual to support, enhance and maintain our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This role will work closely with laboratory operations, IT and quality teams to ensure the LIMS supports day-to-day activities, drives automation, ensures data integrity, and maintains compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the LIMS environment: routine maintenance, support, troubleshooting and user helpdesk.

• Configure and customise the LIMS (e.g., workflows, test methods, sample types, reports) to meet laboratory business requirements.

• Develop reports, dashboards and data extracts from the LIMS for laboratory operations and management.

• Support integrations of LIMS with laboratory instruments, enterprise systems (ERP, MES, ELN) and other software.

• Ensure compliance with regulated environments (e.g., GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO standards) — implement validation, audit trails, change controls.

• Work with stakeholders (lab scientists, quality, IT, vendors) to gather requirements, translate into functional specifications, participate in design & implementation.

• Participate in project activities: system upgrades, new lab site roll-out, automation initiatives.

• Ensure data integrity, master-data governance and documentation (SOPs, work instructions, user guides).

• Manage tickets/backlog: bug fixes, enhancements, version control and release management.

• Provide training to end-users and act as LIMS subject-matter expert.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Life Sciences / Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in LIMS implementation/support/development. (Adjust depending on seniority)

• Solid experience in one or more LIMS platforms (e.g., LabVantage, LabWare, STARLIMS) or similar. For example: requirement from a job: "Working knowledge of LabVantage (LIMS) …

• Good understanding of laboratory workflows: sample lifecycle, testing, instrument interfacing, data-flows.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work crossfunctionally.

• Experience with IT tools: ticketing systems (JIRA), version control, agile/sprint methodologies preferred.
