The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with analytical rigor, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. This individual should be comfortable working cross-functionally across Sales Planning, MDM, Finance, and IT teams to drive operational excellence, scalable processes, and high-quality master data management.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Stewardship & Operational Support
- Track, monitor, and document overrides to key account attributes including hierarchy, revenue, segment, industry, and other planning-related fields to ensure alignment with Sales Planning policies, business rules, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and traceability for manual overrides, hierarchy modifications, and disposition changes to support internal controls, governance standards, and financial reporting compliance.
- Support and manage Reltio workflow notifications by monitoring data issues, routing system alerts to appropriate stakeholders, and driving timely resolution and follow-through.
- Lead disposition cleanup and standardization efforts across account records to improve data consistency, planning accuracy, and downstream reporting integrity.
Account Data Governance & Integrity
- Own and maintain the accuracy of account data across systems including Salesforce (SFDC), Reltio, D&B, and Anaplan.
- Monitor and manage account hierarchy, segment, revenue, industry, and other key account attributes to ensure alignment with Sales Planning rules and reporting requirements.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues including incorrect parent-child hierarchies, segment misclassifications, inactive accounts, and missing or invalid dispositions.
Proactive Audits & Process Improvement
- Design and execute periodic audits to validate account hierarchies, segmentation, assignments, and key planning attributes.
- Partner with MDM and IT teams to identify root causes and implement scalable process improvements.
- Recommend and drive operational enhancements that improve data quality, governance, and planning efficiency.
Sales Planning Support
- Support the annual and ongoing sales planning cycles by validating account assignments and planning-related data across SFDC, Reltio, and Anaplan.
- Monitor key fields and dependencies that impact quota assignment, territory alignment, forecasting, and sales crediting.
- Provide analytical support and insights to improve planning accuracy and operational effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Sales Planning, MDM, Finance, IT, and Sales Operations stakeholders to resolve account-related issues and improve business processes.
- Serve as a trusted partner and subject matter expert on account hierarchy management, data governance, and planning operations best practices.
- Effectively communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders across global teams.
- Design and execute periodic audits to validate account hierarchies, segments, and assignments.
- Partner with the MDM team to resolve root causes and implement sustainable fixes.
- Propose and implement process improvements to prevent data quality issues upstream.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, or Master Data Management roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and Anaplan; familiarity with Reltio, D&B, and account hierarchy tools is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of sales planning processes, territory management, quota allocation, and sales compensation dependencies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams and influence without authority.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in a matrixed global environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex operational issues.
- Self-driven, highly organized, and adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset.
