Python Automation Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Python-based automation frameworks using Pytest. The ideal candidate will design and implement robust test automation solutions, contribute to framework enhancements, and ensure the quality and reliability of enterprise-scale web applications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
• Build scalable and maintainable test frameworks using Pytest.
• Perform regression, functional, integration, smoke, and cross-browser testing.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
• Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Troubleshoot test failures, analyze root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
• Own quality gates for product releases by improving test coverage and automation practices.
• Mentor junior team members and lead automation initiatives and code reviews.

Must-Have Skills:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in test automation.
• Strong expertise in Python programming for automation..
• Proficiency in Pytest framework and test organization best practices.
• Experience in writing efficient and reusable test code and modular test cases.
• In-depth understanding of DOM, XPath, CSS Selectors, and browser behavior.
• Good experience with Git, branching strategies, and version control best practices.
• Experience with REST API testing using Python (requests or similar libraries).
• Proven integration of automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Docker or test containerization.
• Exposure to cloud-based test environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
• Familiarity with reporting tools like Allure or Extent Reports.
