We are representing our overseas client; a fortune 500 company and the largest private sector corporation in India in the search for a Plant Operations Manager Polysilicon

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end expertise in running high-purity polysilicon manufacturing operations
  • Establishing world-class process safety, operations reliability, and operational excellence at a greenfield facility
  • Act as a key advisor to the leadership team, guide cross-functional execution, and develop deep operational capabilities within the plan
  • Provide deep domain knowledge across the full polysilicon manufacturing cycle from TCS, deposition reactors, hydrogen recovery to Siemens rods
  • Support commissioning and ramp-up of greenfield/brownfield facilities
  • Define and implement SOPs, operating envelopes, and control strategies for stable operations.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure strict compliance with global standards in process safety, personal safety, and environment management
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to ensure equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, and plant reliability
  • Support asset integrity programs, spares strategy, and shutdown planning
  • Coach and mentor engineers and shift leaders to build deep process and operations knowledge
  • Lead training sessions, knowledge capture, and operational simulations for plant readiness
  • Stay updated with global benchmarks, emerging technologies, and operational innovations in polysilicon manufacturing
  • Interface with licensors, EPCs, and technology consultants during design reviews and audits

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering graduate (Chemical / Mechanical preferred); advanced training in Six Sigma, Lean, or EHS desirable.
  • 15-25 years of experience in semiconductor-grade or solar-grade polysilicon operations, preferably in Siemens processes
  • Proven track record of leading plant operations, site leadership, or commissioning roles in high-purity chemical or polysilicon plants
  • Deep understanding of process safety, reliability engineering, and asset performance
  • Strong technical depth with practical problem-solving skills
  • Discipline in operations and process integrity
  • Ability to lead under pressure and during plant emergencies
