About The Job:

- We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our KaaS (Kafka as a Service) team.
- The ideal candidate will play a critical role in implementing continuous improvements to operations and delivering new features that enhance our offerings.
- This position requires strong expertise in designing robust, scalable solutions and optimizing performance across the KaaS platform.
- The successful candidate must be a proactive, innovative thinker with strong collaboration skills to work effectively within an Agile development environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and maintain the KaaS platform ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Develop robust and efficient code using Go or Python.
- Leverage Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and scalability.
- Use ArgoCD for deployment and Helm for manifest specification.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code and optimization.
- Implement DevOps practices to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
- Work with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, and IAM.
- Promote best practices and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications:
Core Experience
- Proven, hands-on experience building, operating, and scaling enterprise integration platforms.
- Deep production-level expertise in Kafka and Confluent Cloud including cluster management, performance tuning, and data streaming architecture.
- Infrastructure & Cloud
- Strong proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Professional Background
- Experience working within continuous product or platform engineering teams with focus on long-term platform reliability.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with coding abilities in Go or Python.
- Ability to build robust platform tooling and automation.
- Clear and concise communication.
- Ability to work independently, mentor others, and drive platform adoption.
- Proficiency in Go or Python programming.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong Terraform expertise.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and pipeline development.
- Familiarity with Kafka concepts including topics, partitions, schemas, and architecture.
- Understanding of AWS services including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and IAM.
- Experience working in Agile development teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Commitment to continuous learning and new technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in mentoring and code reviews.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
