Job Description – IT Asset Manager (Data Centre)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Asset Management (ITAM) professional to join our infrastructure team in Pune. The role involves managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets in a large-scale enterprise IT environment.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in asset tracking, CMDB management, and working with structured IT processes in enterprise organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of IT assets including procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and retirement
• Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets such as servers, storage, and network equipment
• Ensure correct asset records including location, ownership, and configuration details
• Update and maintain CMDB in ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
• Perform regular asset reconciliation and support audits
• Coordinate with internal infrastructure and operations teams for asset movements and updates
• Follow ITIL-based Asset and Configuration Management processes
• Prepare reports on asset status, compliance, and audits

What We Are Looking For

• Around 6 years of experience in IT Asset Management in enterprise IT environments
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking)
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM / CMDB or similar tools
• Good knowledge of ITIL Asset and Configuration Management processes
• Strong Excel and data management skills
• Experience in audit support and asset lifecycle tracking

Communication Skills

• Good verbal and written communication in English
• Ability to work with cross-functional IT and operations teams
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to communicate asset-related information clearly and simply

Good to Have

• Exposure to high-scale enterprise environments (including GPU / HPC environments like NVIDIA setups)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Familiarity with tools like Device42 or Sunbird
• Basic knowledge of VMware or Kubernetes

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Electronics, or related field
