About The Job:
- The Solution Architect for Linux Platform & Virtualization provides end-to-end architectural leadership across enterprise Linux, KVM, VMware, and integrated virtualization platforms.
- The role requires deep technical expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to translate business, security, and operational requirements into robust, scalable, and compliant platform architectures.
- The architect leads governance, design assurance, integration strategy, and supports outcome-focused delivery across regulated environments.

Essential Job Functions:
Architecture & Design:
- Lead solution and enterprise architecture efforts for Linux and virtualization platforms.
- Translate business and operational requirements into implementable technical architectures.
- Drive architecture governance including design reviews, standards compliance, validations, and approvals.
- Identify and document architectural risks, gaps, constraints, and acceptable deviations.
- Convert high-level conceptual models into detailed designs, guidelines, and reference architectures.
- Design and deploy solutions leveraging HPE VM Essentials, Morpheus, and KVM-based stacks with hands-on technical depth.
- Provide advanced Linux administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Develop automation to streamline provisioning, configuration, validation, and lifecycle management.
- Lead UAT, production readiness, and structured RCA for incidents and platform issues.
- Coordinate across engineering, support, presales, and delivery teams to resolve dependencies and cross-domain integration challenges.
- Partner with operations, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Navigate architectural discussions, deep technical deep-dives, and stakeholder communication with clarity and ownership.
Qualifications:
Core Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Solution and Enterprise Architecture; TOGAF beneficial.
- Strong requirements engineering capabilities; CPRE preferred.
- Advanced Linux skills including kernel behavior, systemd, filesystems (ext4, XFS, GFS2), LVM, multipathing, udev, and clustering (Serviceguard, Pacemaker).
- Strong command of KVM/libvirt (virsh, virt-install, virt-manager) and VMware (ESXi, vCenter).
- Understanding of CPU models, NUMA, SR-IOV, PCI passthrough, and nested virtualization.
- Strong grounding in SAN/NAS storage (FC, iSCSI, NFS) and storage integration with Linux and virtualization platforms.
- Expert Linux networking including bonding, bridging, VLANs, routing, MTU tuning, jumbo frames, and troubleshooting complex paths.
- Strong ownership mindset, outcome-driven delivery discipline, and high accountability.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and switch between technical and strategic contexts.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
- TOGAF or CPRE beneficial.
