Packaging Engineering Team Leader
Role Summary
The Packaging Engineering Team Leader is responsible for leading the packaging engineering function, setting technical direction, managing resources, and ensuring the delivery of standardized, costeffective, and optimized packaging solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Packaging Engineers and Senior Engineers.
- Define packaging engineering strategy, standards, and roadmap.
- Oversee workload planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Ensure alignment with product lead, manufacturing, marketing, service, supply chain, logistics, and quality teams.
- Review and approve packaging technical decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and sustainability programs.
- Support escalation and resolution of critical packaging issues.
- Develop team capability through coaching, training, and performance management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of packaging engineering experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of endtoend business operations.
- Proven experience establishing engineering standards and governance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with PLM, change management, and compliance processes.
Preferred Skills
- Global or multisite engineering leadership experience.
- Experience with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Budget ownership experience.
