Job Description

To drive evaluation, structuring, and execution of in-licensing opportunities for innovative and patented products, and to manage strategic alliances to ensure successful launch readiness and lifecycle management. The role will work cross-functionally with Global Project Management, Demand Planning, Finance, Regulatory, Medical, and Supply teams to optimize pricing structures, and ensure seamless integration and execution of projects.
Responsibilities:
1. In-Licensing Evaluation & Deal Assessment
Projects commercial and financial evaluation for innovative and patented assets, including:
Market opportunity assessment
Pricing strategy and benchmarking
Competitive landscape analysis (Qualitative & Quantitative)
Volume forecasting
Tracking & monitoring deal economics including upfronts, milestones, royalties, profit-sharing, and supply terms.
2. Driving Negotiations
Support negotiation strategy by evaluating pricing corridors across project stages during course of development & commercialisation
Provide inputs during agreement discussions & contract finalisations
3. Alliance Management
Serve as key interface between Principal and licensing partners post-deal execution.
Ensure contractual compliance on both sides (milestones, reporting, supply obligations, payments).
Identify risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation plans across development and commercialization stages.
Manage relationship and ensure long-term strategic alignment.
4. Launch Readiness & Lifecycle Management and Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with Project Management to:
Align launch timelines
Monitor milestone delivery
Track cross-functional execution
Coordinate with:
Regulatory for sample delivery & submission timelines
Supply Chain for demand planning
Commercial teams and provide PR/PO
QA to understand the Quality requirements for site as well as transit
Logistics to expedite deliveries
IT for serialization & Aggregation discussions
Ensure partner deliverables align with launch critical path.
6. Portfolio & Strategic Insights
Provide regular portfolio-level insights on:
Therapy gap analysis
Competitive movements
Licensing project tracking & monitor progresses
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Adherence to project timelines
Successful execution of licensed product launches
Cost optimization of commercial projects
Partner satisfaction and alliance health
Key Stakeholders

Educational Qualifications
B. Pharm / M. Pharm or Science Background with MBA – Operations / Strategy
PMP certificate will be added advantage
Experience
6–10 years of experience in Business Development, Strategy, Commercial Excellence, or Alliance Management in pharmaceutical industry
Experience evaluating innovative and patented assets
Handled principal companies / Licensing partners
Strong exposure to alliance management
Experience working cross-functionally team(Internal / External)
