As a key member of the Review team, this role upholds the scientific integrity of the Journal and directly supports our mission to advance research through visualization.\n\nResponsibilities :\n\nMake final publication decisions by evaluating the scientific validity of submitted manuscripts and their suitability for visualizing the protocol\nReview new submissions to ensure that the manuscript fits the scope of the journal and our publication standards\nApply prompt engineering techniques to validate reviewer reports for relevance, completeness, and alignment with journal standards, ensuring consistency while maintaining editorial quality\nUse custom AI tools, custom GPTs, and prompt-based workflows to perform pre-QC checks such as identifying formatting issues, missing sections, language clarity, and guideline adherence before peer review\nAccelerate article publication through close collaboration with the Production team to move accepted manuscripts efficiently through the production pipeline\nEnsure timely editorial workflows by coordinating with peer review and the editorial team to meet review and decision deadlines\n\nRequirements:\n\nA Masters / Ph.D. in life sciences, chemical sciences, or engineering\n3+ years of experience with editorial review and submission-to-acceptance workflows\nPrior experience in scientific publishing or peer review is preferred\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills in English\nStrong scientific and technical vocabulary\nAttention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality content\nWillingness to learn and leverage automation/AI-assisted tools for efficiency\nThrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nGenuine interest in communicating scientific methods through visual media\n\nWhy Join JoVE?\n\nA competitive compensation package.\nWork on projects that leverage cutting‑edge AI to transform visual storytelling.\nCollaborate with a highly skilled, creative, and diverse team.\nBe part of a rapidly growing organization with a global footprint.\nAccess opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning in AI‑driven media production.
