About the Role

Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) is seeking a visionary and dynamic Campus Director to lead the institution’s academic and administrative excellence. This role is ideal for experienced academic leaders currently serving as Dean / Associate Dean / Senior Academic Leader at premier institutions (IIMs, IITs, or top B-Schools) who are ready to transition into a strategic leadership position.


The Campus Director will be responsible for end-to-end campus management, including academic delivery, faculty performance, student outcomes, industry interface, and administrative operations, ensuring alignment with PIBM’s industry-integrated education model.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the campus in alignment with institutional vision and growth plans
  • Drive academic excellence, innovation, and industry integration across programs (MBA/PGDM)
  • Develop and execute long-term strategies for institutional growth, rankings, and brand positioning
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (AICTE, NBA, NAAC, etc.)

2. Academic Leadership & Coordination

  • Oversee curriculum design, delivery, and continuous improvement aligned with industry needs
  • Monitor academic planning including timetables, course completion, and quality of delivery
  • Ensure effective implementation of experiential learning, live projects, and corporate interface
  • Track academic KPIs such as student performance, learning outcomes, and program effectiveness
  • Mentor Program Directors, HODs, and faculty for academic excellence

3. Faculty Management & Development

  • Lead faculty recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
  • Set and review faculty KRAs including teaching, research, consulting, and industry engagement
  • Promote research culture, publications, and case development
  • Facilitate faculty training, FDPs, and industry exposure initiatives

4. Student Experience & Outcomes

  • Ensure high standards of student discipline, engagement, and academic progression
  • Oversee student mentoring, counseling, and grievance redressal mechanisms
  • Drive placement readiness, employability skills, and corporate exposure
  • Collaborate with placement team to strengthen outcomes and recruiter relationships

5. Industry Interface & Corporate Relations

  • Strengthen partnerships with corporates for internships, placements, guest sessions, and live projects
  • Enhance institute’s visibility and credibility among industry stakeholders
  • Facilitate advisory boards and industry-academia collaboration initiatives

6. Non-Academic & Administrative Leadership

  • Oversee campus operations including infrastructure, hostel, transport, and student services
  • Ensure smooth functioning of administrative departments (HR, Finance, IT, Facilities, etc.)
  • Drive operational efficiency and process improvements across departments
  • Handle crisis management, compliance, and governance-related matters

7. Performance Management & Reporting

  • Define and monitor KPIs for academic and administrative teams
  • Conduct regular reviews of departments including academics, placements, and operations
  • Present periodic reports to management on performance, challenges, and growth initiatives

8. Branding, Admissions & Outreach

  • Support admissions strategy to attract high-quality students
  • Represent the institute in external forums, conferences, and academic networks
  • Strengthen alumni engagement and institutional branding initiatives
  • Eligibility Criteria

    Educational Qualification

    • PhD or equivalent in Management or related field
    • MBA/PGDM from premier institutions (IIMs/IITs/Top B-Schools preferred)

    Experience

    • 15–20+ years of experience in academia/management education
    • Minimum 5–8 years in leadership roles such as Dean/Associate Dean/Director
    • Proven track record in academic administration, faculty leadership, and institutional growth

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Currently in or previously held a Dean/Associate Dean role at a reputed B-School
    • Strong exposure to industry-integrated curriculum and placement-driven models
    • Ability to balance academic rigor with operational efficiency
    • Visionary leader with a hands-on approach to execution
